We continue the fight against minors buying, removing Swish online
More and more minors are attempting to buy electronic cigarettes & snus online, and since the law clearly states that electronic cigarettes & snus may only be sold to people aged 18 or over, it is important for us at Cigge to review the options for reducing these attempts.
We can confirm that minors primarily use the Swish payment function online. Even though this is a popular payment option for adult customers, we have decided at this time to remove this payment function from our website. At present, we receive between 2–3 orders per day where minors attempt to order e-cigarettes / snus. Since we obviously want our products to continue being sold and avoid receiving a bad reputation, we have now made this decision.
Our strict policy
Since the beginning, Cigge has chosen to ensure that no one under the age of 18 may shop in our stores, regardless of whether the products contain nicotine or not. In addition to routine checks, random checks are carried out, which have shown that a large proportion of the minors attempting to shop online use Swish. We have therefore decided to remove the Swish payment option from our online store. It will still be possible to pay with Swish in our physical stores.
You can shop as usual with Klarna, where you can pay by invoice, through instalment payments, Visa & Mastercard, and shortly we will also accept American Express both online and in-store.
