PostNord changes delivery of parcel letters: "All parcel letters will be delivered on the first attempt"
As of 1 November 2021, all first-class parcel letters will automatically be delivered to your door. In April last year, PostNord reduced the cost of the "Delivery to door" add-on, which can be used if the shipment is too large for the mailbox. The hope was that the popular Parcel Letter service would be left outside the door to a greater extent. But according to the CEO of PostNord Sweden, Mathias Krümmel, it did not quite turn out as they had expected, and he announced via social media that:
"Of all Parcel Letters sent, approximately 15 percent cannot be delivered in the mailbox or at the door and are instead delivered to a service point. From 1 November, home delivery of Parcel Letters will be guaranteed."
The change therefore means that, from 1 November, parcel letters that do not fit in the mailbox will be delivered either at the door or in a bag outside the mailbox (depending on whether delivery takes place in or outside an urban area). "Delivery to the door" will thus be included in the service and become a standard product, without any price changes.
