Guide: How to Store E-Juice in the Best Way
Have you ever put your e-liquid away for an extended period? Maybe you decided to try a new e-liquid and put the old one away, then when you decide to vape the last of your old e-juice, to your horror the e-juice doesn't taste at all like it did before.
With this guide, your e-juice will have a longer shelf life and retain its good flavor.
Avoid Light, Air & Heat
If you are going to store your e-liquid, you should avoid light, air and heat as much as possible. If you are going to put your e-liquid away for an extended period, the pantry is a recommended place, preferably on a high shelf, as this minimizes the risk of children/animals gaining access to the e-liquid.
If the e-liquid comes into contact with light & air, this leads to oxidation of the nicotine and changes the color of the e-juice, though this does not affect its flavor characteristics. E-liquids with tobacco, chocolate or coffee flavors tend to change color over time; this is nothing to worry about and is completely natural.
So where should I store my e-juice?
When you are going to store your e-juice, you have a few places where you can store it. Our recommendation is that you either put your e-juice in a dark cupboard (a pantry, for example) or place the e-liquid in the refrigerator.
If you are going to store e-juice for an extended period (several months), the refrigerator is the best place. One thing to keep in mind here is that cooling makes your e-liquid thicker, so if you are going to take out your dear old e-liquid again, let it sit for a few hours to return to room temperature.
Does storing it in the freezer work?
The answer is yes, however, many people have experimented with this and found that the flavor has diminished. If you do not have room in the refrigerator and the only place you have is the freezer, it works, but if we may recommend one, the refrigerator is still the best place to store your e-juice.
The VG/PG in the e-liquid prevents the liquid from freezing; however, if your e-liquid contains more than 80% VG, your e-liquid will probably freeze. VG freezes at normal freezer temperatures.
Summary
