Taxation of high-concentration e-liquids

At the turn of the year, the new law concerning nicotine tax came into force, and it will soon affect you as a customer.
On February 1, an additional excise tax will be added to nicotine e-liquid with a nicotine content above 15mg.
As our suppliers raise their prices, we will consequently also need to do so.
The price of e-liquids with a nicotine content above 15mg will be increased by SEK 25, while the price of e-juice below 15mg will remain unchanged. We will also not increase the price of nicshots initially.
The tax amounts to an additional SEK 2 per ml (10), which means that prices will increase by SEK 20 plus VAT of SEK 5. Initially, this will apply to 10ml e-liquids, and we will gradually adjust the prices in accordance with the new taxation on e-liquid with a nicotine content above 15mg.
How does this affect you as a vaper?
If you are a vaper who uses e-liquids with a high nicotine content, this decision by the government will affect your finances. The price of every e-liquid with a nicotine content above 15mg will increase by SEK 25.
How does this affect the market?
One can only speculate about how this will affect the vape market in Sweden. Most likely, manufacturers of e-liquids and nicshots will lower the nicotine content of their products so that the new taxation can be avoided. For example, nic salt e-liquids may be created with a nicotine content of 14.99mg.
Only applies to e-liquid with a nicotine content above 15mg
E-liquids below 15mg will not be subject to additional taxation, and the price will remain unchanged.
