Information about e-cigarettes and e-juice
Are you, like many others, completely new to the world of e-cigs and looking for information about what they are? Then you have come to the right place. Here you will find basic information about electronic cigarettes. We will go through everything step by step, from how to use and operate electronic cigarettes in the safest way. You will also receive basic information about the ingredients contained in an e-juice.
El-cig, e-cig, vape, electronic cigarette – what is it actually called?
Electronic cigarettes have many names, from e-cig to vape (vapor, steam). When these terms are mentioned, they do not refer to different things; they all refer to e-cigarettes. You can choose whichever word you think suits you best.
What does an e-cigarette consist of?
An e-cig consists of several different units that work together to create flavored vapor. It is important to know that e-cigarettes do not produce smoke, but rather flavored vapor. The flavor varies depending on which flavoring you have in your e-juice.
Mod (the battery that supplies the power)
First, you have a mod (battery), through which the power runs to send electricity to the vaporizer / burner located in your tank (liquid reservoir). The size and shape vary from e-cigarette to e-cigarette. There are very small and convenient models, and then there are larger models that are heavier and can deliver large, dense clouds when you exhale the vapor.
Tank, Atomizer, Clearomizer (liquid reservoir)
There are also many terms used when talking about the liquid reservoir, but the most common vape term for a liquid reservoir is tank, although it works just as well to call it a liquid reservoir. The tank’s purpose is to store your e-juice. Your tank is sealed with O-rings that create a tight seal and prevent the e-juice from leaking out. There are also built-in tanks; these e-cigarettes are called “AIO,” which stands for All in One.
Coils, burners / vaporizers
This is the unit that vaporizes your e-juice and creates flavored vapor. Inside the coil there is cotton that absorbs the e-liquid. It is important to know that if you install a new coil, you must either “prime” it or let the cotton absorb the e-juice for approximately 10 minutes before using the product. You can read our previous post for tips on how to extend the lifespan of your coil; you can find the post here.
Drip tip - Mouthpiece
This is the unit you inhale through, and mouthpieces can vary in size. There are small and narrow mouthpieces as well as wider drip tips that allow the user to increase vapor production.
What is ohm? How does it work?
When talking about ohms, we are talking about the resistance of your coil, meaning the thickness of the wire inside the coil. If your coil has a high ohm rating, it draws less battery power from your battery because it uses a lower amperage (amp), and you cannot achieve high wattage (power). This usually refers to ohm ratings between 1.0 and 2.0 ohms. This is recommended for beginners in vaping.
There is something called sub-ohm vaping, which means vaping below 1.0 ohm. When you are below 1.0 ohm, it draws more battery power because more amperage is required to run the current from your battery through your e-cigarette. With sub-ohm vaping, you can achieve larger vapor clouds and the flavor experience becomes better. We do not recommend sub-ohm vaping for beginners.
Safety regarding electronic cigarettes

Safety is the most important thing, and the electronic cigarettes we sell have a built-in chip with several safety features, such as short-circuit protection, which protects your chip and prevents the mod from firing, thereby avoiding accidents. There is also a 5-click safety system that makes it relatively child-safe.
For example, if you have forgotten to turn off your e-cigarette, there is a cutoff protection feature that turns off your e-cig if the fire button is held down for more than 10 seconds. You can always be sure that we at cigge.se only sell products that are safe to use.
Our simpler e-cigarettes have a built-in battery that you charge via USB. When charging it, you should be careful when inserting and removing the cable to reduce wear on the port.
With our more advanced e-cigarettes, you need to purchase external batteries; it is very important that you handle your batteries correctly.
Here are some tips on what you can do to increase safety around you:
- Always keep an eye on your batteries when charging them in external chargers
- Make sure you insert your batteries in the correct direction to avoid short circuits / venting
- Store your batteries in a plastic case (do not carry your batteries loose in your pocket!)
- Make sure there is no damage to the battery (also make sure that the wrap around the battery is intact)
- Always turn off your e-cig when you are not using it (e.g. when putting it in your pocket)
- Avoid letting your batteries come into contact with other objects (especially metal)
- Close the airflow when traveling (to avoid the risk of leakage)
- Always make sure that there is e-juice in your liquid reservoir to avoid burning the coil
I want to quit smoking and start using e-cigarettes
Do you want to quit smoking but are looking for something that can fill the void after you have smoked your last cigarette? Then electronic cigarettes are the perfect solution for you when quitting smoking. Since their introduction, e-cigarettes have helped thousands of people quit using tobacco, reduce their nicotine intake, and even reach the point where they have stopped using nicotine altogether.
We have affordable e-cigarettes that will satisfy your smoking cravings. For beginners, we recommend our popular eGo AIO starter kit. This kit includes everything you need to get started; you only need to purchase e-juice. We can offer tobacco flavors, menthol, classic fruit flavors—whatever you are craving, we have it! We recommend our regular e-juice range for this electronic cigarette.
If you are considering a slightly larger e-cigarette, we can recommend our Stick V8 2000mAh starter kit. This e-cigarette is somewhat more powerful than the eGo AIO and does not have a built-in tank. The Stick V8 has a wider mouthpiece and delivers greater vapor production and, to some extent, more flavor. This starter kit also includes everything you need to get started except e-juice. With this e-cigarette, you can vape e-juices from our premium segment.
It is also possible to start mixing your own unique e-juice with your chosen flavorings. Who knows, perhaps strawberry and tobacco taste good together? It is up to you to find out!
What ingredients are found in an e-juice?
There are different blends, and they vary from company to company, but the common ingredients are VG (vegetable glycerin) and PG (propylene glycol), as well as flavorings. It is also possible to buy e-juice with nicotine in different nicotine strengths. With the new shortfill concept, vapers can buy completely nicotine-free e-liquids and then purchase nic shots to mix into the e-juice. We have created a video guide that simply explains how to do this.
More information about PG (propylene glycol)
Propylene glycol is a solvent commonly found in skin creams and shampoo. PG is described as a colorless liquid and has antibacterial properties. PG is also included in snus products and is used as a food additive. It is propylene glycol that creates the “throat hit” when you vape, and PG also brings out the flavor of your e-juice better.
More information about VG (vegetable glycerin)
VG is produced through an extraction process called hydrolysis. You can find products containing vegetable glycerin in, for example, beauty products, hand cream, pastries, toothpaste, and food products. Vegetable glycerin adds sweetness to your e-juice and reduces the throat hit. You also get greater vapor production compared with PG.
We recommend that you experiment and try different VG/PG ratios. If your e-juice contains a lot of PG, your throat may become irritated, and we recommend that you drink plenty of water when vaping to prevent throat irritation.
At cigge.se, we have divided our range into three different sections to make it as easy as possible for you as a customer to navigate the different levels we offer. Here you will receive an explanation of these different levels. Would you like to know more about vaping? Then read this post.
Regular

Regular is intended for beginners or those who prefer smaller and simpler e-cigarettes. Here you will find affordable and reasonably priced e-cigarettes that do not require extensive knowledge or previous experience to use.
This also applies to the e-juice, where you will find a large selection of e-juice containing 10 ml of e-liquid and usually featuring a classic, simple flavor. In our regular e-juice range, we offer ready-mixed e-liquids with or without nicotine, with nicotine-free products marked as 0 mg.
Premium

In our premium segment, you will find somewhat more advanced e-cigarettes that require a certain level of knowledge. The step up from regular is quite significant, as the e-cigarettes in the premium segment offer greater vapor production and a more intense flavor experience, which may feel overwhelming if you have previously used a simple e-cigarette that does not produce as much flavored vapor.
You need to have good knowledge of battery handling, as our premium mods do not contain a built-in battery. Instead, you purchase external batteries and insert them yourself. It is very important to know how to store and handle your batteries before getting into premium e-cigarettes.
Premium E-juice / E-liquid can offer you somewhat more complex e-juices with different flavor blends. These e-juices are sold in larger formats and completely nicotine-free, as it is prohibited by law to sell e-juices containing nicotine in quantities over 10 ml. You can, however, buy nic shots and mix in your own nicotine—a very simple solution for those who want nicotine in their e-juice.
Advanced

In our advanced section, you will find advanced e-cigarettes. Here you will also find RDA / RTA and RDTA devices. We recommend these e-cigarettes to experienced vapers who have a good knowledge of electronic cigarettes. You will also find wire here, so you can create your own coils—perfect for those who enjoy technology and the entire DIY concept.
